“What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.” – Plutarch
Hello I’m Amanda, welcome to Sherrards Counselling.
Thank you for taking this step.
Life can be hard sometimes. Are you experiencing feelings of anxiety, anger, or sadness? Perhaps you often feel overwhelmed, unfulfilled, or unhappy with your current situation? Have you encountered a significant life event that you are struggling to adapt to? Are your relationships facing challenges, at home with family, or in the workplace? Are past experiences continuing to affect your present well-being?
As a psychodynamic counsellor, I aim to offer a warm, empathetic, and confidential space where you can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings, make sense of your past experiences, and help you find your way forward.
Counselling offers space and time to explore your experiences, to understand difficult and painful feelings. Somewhere new ways of doing and being can be discovered.
I offer a non-judgemental, calm, collaborative, compassionate and safe therapeutic space.
I follow the BACP Ethical Framework and work in accordance with the standards of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
“This has been a really difficult year, I’ve struggled with so much. Having the space to talk it through, have someone to really listen and help me find my way through. Amanda has made such a difference.”
“I have come so far in the time I have been seeing Amanda, it’s true that they say counselling is a journey. It’s not an easy one, but it’s so worth it.”
Ready to take the first step?
I offer a free, 15 minute initial session where we can discuss what brings you to therapy. Sessions are £70, available face-to-face, online via Zoom, or by telephone.
